Beggar's Chicken Recipe
A traditional Chinese dish where a whole chicken is stuffed, wrapped in lotus leaves, and baked in clay.

Main Ingredients
- 1 whole Chicken cleaned and gutted
- 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Five-Spice Powder
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 inch Ginger minced
- 2 pieces Lotus Leaves soaked in water
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, five-spice powder, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
Rub the mixture all over the chicken, inside and out.
Wrap the chicken in lotus leaves.
Cover the wrapped chicken with clay.
Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours.
Remove the clay and lotus leaves before serving.
