Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice rinsed
- 6 cups Water
- 2 pieces Century Eggs diced
- 1 piece Ginger sliced
- to taste Salt
- to taste White Pepper
- 1 bunch Green Onions chopped
1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the rice and ginger slices.
3. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
4. Once the congee reaches your desired consistency, add the diced century eggs.
5. Season with salt and white pepper to taste. Stir well.
6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
