Ingredients 

Dough

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Milk warmed
  • 2 tablespoon Butter softened

Filling

  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon Milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. 2. Add warmed milk and softened butter. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. For the filling, mix softened butter, sugar, shredded coconut, milk powder, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. 6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Flatten each piece, place a spoonful of filling in the center, and seal the edges.
  7. 7. Place the buns on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the buns for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
