Chinese Honey Walnut Shrimp Recipe
This is a delicious Chinese dish featuring crispy shrimp coated in a sweet and creamy honey sauce, topped with candied walnuts.

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ cup walnuts
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon condensed milk
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup oil for frying
1. In a small pot, bring water to a boil and add sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add walnuts and boil for 2 minutes. Drain and place walnuts on a baking sheet to dry.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, honey, and condensed milk. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Add cornstarch and mix until it forms a batter.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Dip shrimp into the batter and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
5. Toss fried shrimp in the honey mayonnaise sauce. Serve topped with candied walnuts.
