Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs oxtail
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 piece ginger sliced
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the oxtail pieces under cold water and pat dry.
  2. 2. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat and brown the oxtail pieces on all sides.
  3. 3. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced ginger to the pot. Cook until fragrant.
  4. 4. Pour in the soy sauce and rice wine, stirring to combine.
  5. 5. Add the water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 3 hours, or until the oxtail is tender.
  6. 6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
