Chinese Sticky Rice Cake Recipe (Nian Gao)
A traditional Chinese New Year dessert made with glutinous rice flour and brown sugar.

- 2 cups glutinous rice flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1. Dissolve the brown sugar in the water over medium heat. Let it cool.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and the cooled sugar water. Mix well.
3. Add the vegetable oil and mix until smooth.
4. Pour the mixture into a greased cake pan.
5. Steam the cake over medium heat for about 60 minutes.
6. Let the cake cool completely before slicing.
