Congee Recipe (Rice Porridge - general)

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Jasmine Rice
- 8 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 piece Ginger sliced
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a large pot, combine the rice, water, salt, and ginger.
Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the rice is very tender and the porridge has thickened, about 90 minutes.
Remove the ginger slices before serving.
