Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jasmine Rice
  • 8 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 piece Ginger sliced

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pot, combine the rice, water, salt, and ginger.
  3. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer.
  4. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the rice is very tender and the porridge has thickened, about 90 minutes.
  5. Remove the ginger slices before serving.
