Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice rinsed
  • 6 cups Water
  • 200 grams Fish fillets sliced thinly
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger julienned
  • 2 teaspoons Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon White pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped scallions for garnish

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. 2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the rice and ginger.
  3. 3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is soft and the congee has thickened.
  4. 4. Add the fish slices and cook for another 5-10 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
  5. 5. Season with salt, white pepper, and soy sauce to taste.
  6. 6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped scallions.
