Fuqi Feipian Recipe (Sichuan Sliced Beef in Chili Sauce)

- 500 g beef shank thinly sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoon Sichuan peppercorns toasted and ground
- 4 tablespoon chili oil
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 stalks green onions chopped
- 1 handful cilantro chopped
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the beef shank for about 30 minutes until tender. Remove and let cool.
2. Thinly slice the beef shank and set aside.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef broth, Sichuan peppercorns, chili oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and sugar. Mix well.
4. Add the sliced beef to the sauce and mix until well coated.
5. Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
