Ingredients

  • 500 g Pork Belly cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 slices Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic smashed
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 star Star Anise

Instructions 

  1. 1. Blanch the pork belly in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. In a large pot, add the pork belly, soy sauce, sugar, water, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, and star anise.
  3. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 90 minutes, until pork is tender and sauce is thickened.
  4. 4. Serve hot with steamed rice.
