Ingredients

  • 1 whole Duck about 5-6 pounds
  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Five-Spice Powder
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the duck and pat dry. Rub the duck inside and out with salt.
  3. Mix soy sauce, honey, five-spice powder, and garlic in a bowl. Brush the mixture over the duck.
  4. Place the duck on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast for 90 minutes, basting occasionally with the remaining mixture.
  5. Let the duck rest for 10 minutes before carving. Serve with pancakes, hoisin sauce, and sliced scallions.
