Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork bones preferably neck or back bones
  • 1 large Onion quartered
  • 2 cloves Garlic smashed
  • 1 inch Ginger sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 8 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the pork bones under cold water to remove any blood and impurities.
  2. 2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the pork bones and boil for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse the bones.
  3. 3. Refill the pot with 8 cups of water. Add the cleaned pork bones, onion, garlic, ginger, and salt.
  4. 4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 hours. Skim off any foam that rises to the surface.
  5. 5. Strain the broth through a fine mesh strainer and discard the solids. Season with additional salt if needed.
