  • 1 cup red beans soaked overnight
  • 6 cups water
  • ½ cup rock sugar adjust to taste

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the soaked red beans and drain.
  2. In a pot, add the red beans and water. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce to a simmer and cook for about 1 hour, or until the beans are soft.
  4. Add rock sugar and stir until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  5. Serve hot or chilled.
