Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole goose about 10-12 pounds
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. Rinse the goose inside and out and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. 3. Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, five-spice powder, salt, and ground white pepper in a bowl.
  4. 4. Rub the mixture all over the goose, inside and out.
  5. 5. Place the goose on a rack in a roasting pan.
  6. 6. Roast in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, basting occasionally with the drippings.
  7. 7. Let the goose rest for 15 minutes before carving.
