  • 500 g Squid, cleaned and cut into rings
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 teaspoon Chili flakes optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
  3. 3. Coat the squid rings in the cornstarch mixture.
  4. 4. Fry the squid in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  5. 5. Remove the squid and drain on paper towels.
  6. 6. Sprinkle with chili flakes if using, and serve immediately.
