Shaoxing Drunken Chicken Recipe
A flavorful and aromatic chicken dish marinated in Shaoxing wine.

Main Ingredients
- 1 whole Chicken about 3-4 pounds
- 1 cup Shaoxing wine
- 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 2 slices Ginger
- 2 stalks Green onions cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 teaspoon Salt
1. Clean the chicken and pat it dry.
2. Place the chicken in a steamer and steam for about 30 minutes or until fully cooked.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, sugar, ginger, green onions, and salt.
4. Once the chicken is cooked, let it cool slightly and then cut it into pieces.
5. Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
6. Serve the chicken cold, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
