Ingredients

  • 1 whole Mandarin Fish cleaned and scaled
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Clean and scale the Mandarin fish. Make diagonal cuts on both sides.
  2. 2. Coat the fish with cornstarch.
  3. 3. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Fry the fish until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. 5. In a separate pan, mix soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, and water. Bring to a boil.
  6. 6. Pour the sauce over the fried fish and serve immediately.
