Youtiao Recipe (Chinese Fried Dough Sticks)
Youtiao, also known as Chinese fried dough sticks, are a popular breakfast item in China. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ¾ cup water warm
- 2 cups oil for frying
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add vegetable oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the dough sticks until golden brown, turning occasionally.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
